Experience

The 2016 school year begins my twenty-seventh year at Seaside High School! Though I have grown grey in my time here I still come to the job each and every year with passion, enthusiasm, a love of my subject matter, and great joy in working with and teaching such a vital, engaging, and inspirational age group. All together this will be my 33rd year in education!

Bio

A life long Oregonian, Mr. Hawes came to the coast twenty seven years ago and never left. Along with his wife Carol, he raised their son amid the great and rugged beauty of the Northcoast. As always, he is excited to have the opportunity to teach and interact with his students as they journey through another year learning some history.
